I started American Gutter Systems, Inc. in Erie, PA, because I discovered that the limited number of companies offering gutter cleaning and so-called leaf protection systems were too expensive. At the time, I was working on a bending machine that I knew had to be versatile enough to accommodate the various sizes of roofs as well as climates in the Erie region. I believed strongly that my Multi-Purpose Nose Bender was the perfect solution for the diverse structures both existing and those being built today. After installing the leaf and ice protection system, there remained a serious issue -- HEAT LOSS, resulting in a multitude of problems for both homeowners and businesses. At this point, I designed my heated gutter that is installed on top of the leaf and ice protection system. This complete system --heated gutters plus leaf and ice protection is designed to maintain a clear and clean gutter and eliminate the problems of built-up ice or clogged gutters and downspouts that can cause damage to the house or business structure.
